Now that you have your website established, you need to tell the world about them.  A sitemap file is an Extensible Markup Language (XML) file that defines each page in your site so that when automated tools find your site, they will be "shown" where each of your pages are.

The format for sitemap files can be found at http://www.sitemaps.org.
